Southern Wire’s range of full weight black and galvanised steel posts are sourced from established mill suppliers. All posts have standard hole spacings.

Steel posts have the benefit over timber posts of being able to be installed quickly by hand without the need for a tractor. They are an excellent alternative in high fire risk areas.

Southern Wire’s black steel posts offer performance and economy while the galvanised posts are hot dip galvanised to Australian Standards for extra long life and are backed by the full resources of the company.
